2000 Chevy Cavalier OBD2 codes

My cavalier has the engine check light on. So, I used an OBD2 Autoscanner which gave a code of P0440
EVAP EMISSION. What's my next move?

There are various causes for this code. What I would do first is to pull off the gas cap and get a look at the sea;lng area of the fuel filler neck. Make sure it is clean and the cap seal is not cracked. A little grease on the surface can help.

If you do this it will take a few days to clear the code and turn off the light. The fuel has to be between 1/4 and 3/4 full for the monitor to run it's self test.
