2000 Chevy Cavalier gas tank

2000 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 160km miles

i can,t seem to put gas in the tank, when i do, it just seems to fill up the tube that goes to the tank, it seems like its not getting air to allow the gas to continue to go to the tank. how do i fix this problem?

hi remove the fuel tank check vent tube and if ok remove the sender see what is restricting fuel flow. billymac

the vent tube is the 3/4 inch hose runs parralel with the filler tube.some tanks have a plastic vent valve on the top near yhe sending unit billymac
