1999 Chevy Cavalier radio plays sporadically only

Why does my radion only work occasionally?
It has nothing to do with; the station, temperature etc.
Sometimes the only sound it makes sounds like it is not on the station.
The tape player does not work at these times either.

Hi there,

This sound like a fault with in the radio itself, you will need to have it removed and tested by a radio tech.
