1999 Chevy Cavalier OIL PUMP

I have a 1999 cavalier 2.4 oil light on but full of
oil sounds like not getting oil to top of motor could this be the pump?

First inspect pick up tube for damage. If OK, check oil pressure with manual gauge. Post results and I will follow up.
