1999 Chevy Cavalier

I have a 1999 Cavalier z-24.I put a new battery in the remote Lock and unlock and it worked for a short time and now it doesnt. The inside dome light doesnt work now either so I think I blew a fuse Becasue I did hear a popping sound so.I Just want to know what to do so I can lock my car again
also the driver side door wont lock so
if you can tell me whats going on
