About two weeks ago I noticed a strange squealing sound coming from the area around the serpentine belt. Assuming that it was the belt, or one of the pullies in the system, I have decided to get that looked at tomorrow (3-18-10.) Tonight my car was completely dead when I went out to start it, I got it jumped by a nice neighbor, and on the ride home all of my electrical instruments went black. No speedometer, no gas gauge, no temp, no mileage. My radio turned off and went completely black, my headlights and tailights died, and my signals quit working. Interior lighting of the car was just enough that I could see to make it home. Help please!

it sounds like your alternator went bad and your battery is dead. That is why everything doesn't work. You'll probabl y need a new alterator, most auto parts can check to se if the alternator are good or not, they usually do this for free.....
