1998 Chevy Cavalier Starter solenoid wiring

Installiong a starter on a car but did not take old one off. Need to know where to attach wires on new starter.

HI there,

You should only have 3 wires, 2 with large terminals that go on the main terminal on the solenoid and a small purple wire that is normally a push on type terminal also on the solenoid.
