Just bought this used 98 Cavalier automatic. Just flushed all the fluids and did an oil change. Now when i stop the engine revs up and down around 300 RPm but still under 1000 RPM. It rocks back and forth and i have to really hold the brake. I put it in neutral and rev a little until i have to go. Whats going on here?? Also when i have to start the car i have to wiggle the battery and then the lights come on and i can start it. It drives good but sometimes if i hit a hard bump it shuts everything off,,,, not good on the highway!!! I have tightened the wires to the battery but still the same problems...Can someone help me!!

Replace the battery wires, and make sure the battery hold down is tight. Check for vacuum leaks, hoses, connectors and injector seals.

Make sure the IAC valve connector is clean
