has new converter

suggestions have been mass air flow, coolant temp,

i have not scanned for trouble code yet, will see the car at noon today

A high idle is usually a vacuum leak. Check vacuum hoses for cracks, missing hoses.

Code will likely be a lean air/fuel ratio.
