My cark will not stay in park. I was using the parking break but even that is not enough. Now i have to put a brick at the tires in order to keep the car parked. What could be the issue and how much should it cost to repair?

Check the cable connection to trans, the cable attachment bolt may have come loose, or a bracket may be loose or broke.

If OK then remove console and check cable at shifter.

The other possibility is that the parking "pawl" in the trans is broke, but I would think the cable is most likely the cause.
