previous question was concerning the water pump not working, removed discharge hose at back of cylinderhead while engine running, no water discharge yet resivour is full, what water was there was hot. Removed Pump seems ok, is possible that belt was routed wrong after it came off, reinstalled by another person? Pump running backwards??

The other problem may be that if the pump has a plastic impeller, it may have come loose from drive shaft, rendering the pump useless.
