My info says you get at the filter from underneath. Safely raise and support the vehicle. Use a cup style filter wrench, plus you need a long handle rachet or breakover. The people at the autostore can help you with proper tools. Use drain pan under the filter, have some paper towels handy. When you go back with new filter, I use a little clean oil on the filter gasket, and clean off the gasket mounting surface on the engine block. Install filter, follow the directions that comes with the filter. I usually go with hand tight, then just a little with filter wrench, not too much. Start vehicle and check for leaks. Because I can't see what your doing, it's your respnsibility to do it correctly.
