1997 Chevy Cavalier Lights

My front driver siide headlight is very dim. Does not seem to respond to dimmer switch. Have replaced bulbs in all front lights. Put in a new relay, still light is very dim. Also now car won't start.

Are both headlights dim or just the one? Does teh engine turn over or is it dead? If it wont turn you may have a bad alternator which has caused the car to run off the battery. When this happens you only have a short amount of time before the battery goes down and the car dies.
