There is a large clip that holds it from the rear. Is the damage too large for it to hold? If so, cut a piece of sheet metal aprox 4" x 4". Drill a hole in it that the cylender can fit through. From inside the door, place the sheet metal that you cut then push the lock cylender through the door and sheet metal. Then when you replace the clip, it should hold everything in place for you.

Let me know if you have other questions. Also, if the lock cylender where the key goes is bad, you can get a new one at most parts stores. It will have a different key than the other door, but you will be able to lock your car.
