Noises problem
1996 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 85700 miles

My Chevy has been squealing for about a couple months now. When I took it in for an oil change the tech said that I need to replace my power steering belt and ball-bearings. I know very little about cars so I was wondering if that could be correct, how serious of a problem that is, and how much should I expect to pay in repairs?

expect about 150 dollar parts and service. mainly the price will be the parts as the belt costs about 60 bucks usually, unless its a common size.
