I have a few small issues with my car, a couple weeks ago my car started this LOUD overwhelming sound kinda like a very fast ticking sound and it won't stop untill I shut off the car, it seems to be happening when it's hot out. Looked under the hood it sounds like it's my belt making that noise. Why would it be doing that? It's a extrremly good belt, and very much new, probably april 2010 new.

the second problem is my exsaust at night makes a putting sound and makes my entire car start shaking. No idea what is going on pleas ehelp

First, make sure the oil in the engine is full and clean and doesn't have coolant mixing with it. Second, make sure the belt hasn't begun to rip causing a part of it to slap other parts.

As far as the exhaust, it won't cause a putting; that comes from the engine. Is it missing? When was the last tune up? Does it only happen at night? Finally, when it is hot, look under the car at the catalytic converter to see if it is red hot.

Let me know what you find.

***the oil is full, I filled that today. And okay I took a look with the belt, it has a little piece, thread like sticking up. And nothing is missing, the last tune up was in january. Yes it does seem to be very shakey at night, which is weird.

If it is red hot, should I just leave the car be? Thank you so much

Cut the thread off the belt to see if that is making the ticking. As far as the converter, if it is red hot, it is plugged and will need replaced.

Let me know.
