I have a 1993 Cavalier which stalls out occasionally and runs rough but will usually restart. Sometimes this car will run fine for a few days and then act up again. The engine code it brings up is for an A/C pressure sensor. We have cleared and rechecked the code after the car has acted up and it always brings up this code. Help! We're getting very frustrated. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

your ac pressure sensor is a three wire plug on the high side line. this line is the smaller in diameter line. you can locate the switch on passengers side its located between radiator and engine. the plug is round and i believe the wire colors are gray, blue and black. unplug this switch and your problems will go away. what is happening is the gray wire feeds a 5 volt reference to several other sensors, including map sensor, tps sensor etc, when the ac pressure sensor fails it drops the voltage on the map sensor and the throttle position sensor which makes the car stall.
