1993 Chevy Cavalier

I have a 1993 cavalier 4 cyl. I had to replace the radiator hoses because one of them blew and after that my defroster doesn't work. There were 2 of them coming off the back of the motor and led to the firewall. If I reversed them, would that make the defroster not work, or is it something else? I took the AC/Heater part out of the dash and looks as if everything is making contact as it should. I asked my dad and he didn't know either so I thought I'd ask all the very intelligent people here. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

It sounds to me like you have a air bubble in the heater core from when you replaced the air. Bleed the coolant system and you should be good to go. Easiest way to check for this is the 2 hoses going into and out of the firewall hot? If one is then its a air bubble if both are then you blend door may be not functioning properly

So it doesn't matter which way the 2 hoses are hooked up?

Shouldnt matter. NOt in my experience, there is no valves on it preventing flow from backing up.

Forgot to add. But would that also make the heater settings change inside the car? Like when I switch it to "heater:feet only" it comes out the top vents still. Its stuck on one setting and thats it.

If thats you problem, I would be checking for proper operation of the blend doors in the air ducts.
