i just recently bought a 92 chevy cavalier(manual).when i first got it,it was fine, but a couple weeks later i was having trouble keeping it cranked.when i turn the key to crank it it cranks just fine, but when i let go of the key it pops back and kills the engine completely.what could be causing this?

Most likely the ign. switch is bad. You can remove and replace or take switch to locksmith for repair, so you do not have to use seperate key to start engine.
