I just had an insurance inspection done on my chev, and there appears to be an issue with the ignition switch giving intermittent power to the wipers. Once you start the engine, you need to twist the key just a hair further to give power to the wipers. If you let go, they freeze.

Is there a way I can solve this problem without having to replace the whole module and re-key my car? I know I'm going to have to replace the radiator, tires, shock absorbers, driver side door, and tires already - and saving another $40 would really help.

Thanks,

sounds like a ingnition switch is shorting out. that you will have to replace. call your local junk yard and see how much they get for it. they might be alittle cheaper
