1991 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

the release button on shifter locked cannot shift out of park car is a wagon with shifter on the floor how do i repair this problem how to details would be helpful not much car knowledge thank you

It will outline the procedure. You will have to remove the console to check linkage and check the brake switch.
