Last time driven, drove to town, made quick stop, upon starting, seemed flooded. After few minutes, started up. Auto mechanic believed all 6 injectors needed to be replaced, (Although, what he showed me was one of spark plugs, igniting). Perhaps real soon, or down the road. Drove that day, out of town, over 90 miles, turning car off, 3 times. Last stop made, car hesitated to start, once started, it wanted to quit when attempting to stop at stop signs/lights. Shifted down, but ran all 12 stops. Arrival home, it died. Refuses to turn over, now.

Previously had believe #1 and #6 injector replaced, several years ago. Car has always had a "mist", no one ever able to fix.

Appreciate your help with this matter. Thank you, in advance.

Hello, if it cranks good but won't start, I'd do some of the basic tests for a start. Have a helper crank it, while you check for spark at the plugs. If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Any trouble codes? You can do an ohms test on the injectors, see how they compare.

Hello,

Our '91 cav convert (6 cyl frnt whl drv.) Had the same problem. We were told that the injectors needed replacing. I could not understand how ALL injectors could go out at once. I took it home and ran a pressure test off of the rail and found slightly low pressure. I replaced the fuel pump & it DID NOT solve the problem. To make a long story short, after much fooling around, we traced the problem to what amounts to the computer on these cars. We tried one from a buddys car and it cured the problem. (This one was behind the glove box and relatively easy to switch out). The car continues to run fine to this day with no problems.
Dennis.
