Heater problem
1996 Chevy Caprice 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Heater is blowing luke warm air with the temp control set at maximum. Car temp. reads a constant 180 degrees. Is there a heat control valve on this engine and is it easy to replace?

Hi:
Feel the heater core hoses and make sure they are both hot. Let me know what you find. Also, the engine temp usually should run between 190 and 200. You may have a t-stat sticking open.

Let me know what you find.
