My 95 caprice has the LT1 V8 and starts fine when cold. it will run fine for as long as needed but once the car has been shut off it wont restart again for awhile. the time it takes to restart varies from 15min to a few hours. possible fuel pump issue? maybe a relay or something? any help is appreciated

When the problem occurs, if it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the plugs. You carry a known good plug or spark tester in the glove box, won't get hot. Wear gloves, pull a spark plug wire, stick tester in the boot, ground metal part of tester to metal part of engine, engine cranking, watch for spark. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Be careful about spraying gas all over a hot engine, safety is your responsibility. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one. Any applicable mil codes?
