I have replaced plugs, opti spark, mass air flow, computor, and o2 sensors but still have a back fire comming from the intake air filter. This hapens at a high rmp. Also idels rough and has no power like a lt1 should. The drivers side old plugs were black but passengers side were good. I do see some improvement since the opti and plugs were changed but still that darn back fire from the air filter.

This hapens at a high rpm. Also idels rough and has no power like a lt1 should. The drivers side old plugs were BLACK but passengers side were good. I do see some improvement since the opti and plugs were changed but still that darn back fire from the air filter is still there. Could the cat be bad. No check engin light on.

HELP!

Could be a problem with excessively rich or lean mixture. Sparkplugs with wrong heat range, excessive carbon/hot valves and Ignition timing

Also have the throttle position sensor and fuel pressure check-look for vacuum leak
