how do i know which one needs to be changed tire rod or wheel bearings

a caprice is a rear wheel drive car and doesn't have a trans-axle. tie rods are for steering and not spinning the wheels. Take this to a professional so he can diagnose your problem instead of shooting in the dark like now. You'll save money by doing ths.
