1993 Chevy Caprice thermostat

Instructions on how to replace the thermostat so I can determine if I can handle the job myself.
I am a female who has done several minor mechanics on my old duster and Volare. this is my mom's car and I was hoping to save her some money.

BTW, I was under the impression that a V8 was the largest model. I thought this car had the biggest motor, could it be a 4dr sedan and have a V12 in it ?

some vehicles (very rare, mostly EXTREMELY pricey ones) have V12 motors. your vehicle does not come equipped with a v12 motor though, only 6 or 8. I will need to know if this is the 5.0L or the 5.7L V8 motor. if you're not sure, I can use the 8th digit of your VIN to find out.
