1992 Chevy Caprice Horn doesn't work

Dealer says $2000.00 ! to fix.
Says sensors for airbag and horn have melted
together.
I just need to get the horn to work to pass
North Caroliina inspection. The car belongs to
my 78 yr. old mother. She doesn't make 2K
with Social Security.

Just ask the mechanic to run a seperate push button to the horn.
