1992 Chevy Caprice going to replace ALT.

im trying to replace my alternator on my caprice and I dont knw how tight to put the belt... my dad said i cant drive it if its wrong and my local auto part store was no help...and do you knw what amp ALT came stock with the car bc I just bought a 124 amp?

The belt tensioner keeps correct tension on the belt. Sometimes it takes some menovering to get it on, make sure the belt is seated right on the pulleys.
