1991 Chevy Caprice Alternator

I have an 1991 Chevrolet Caprice with the 350, yesterday it died on me no battery power what so ever, I tried to jump it several time and the battery would not hold a charge could this mean that my alternator is bad and needs replace ?? please help need my car for the weekend thanks

Either charge batt or replace then go to an Auto Zone or similar and have charging system checked.
