1988 Chevy Caprice won't start.

We had the alt. & battery tested both were good. It dies when were at stop signs & the lights go dim right before it cuts off.

Hello, did you check for codes? My info shows your fuel injected rather than feedback carb. I'd clean the throttle-body and check the idle air system.
