1987 Chevy Caprice just clicks

when I go to start the car all it does is clicks. What do I need to do or check to get it to start?

Hello
first try jumping the car, battery may be dead. Second check connections make sure all good and tight. If all that checks ok check the starter itself, it may be bad.
