I have a 1987 chevy caprice and its runs great it has a 400 V8 from a 1979 Monte Carlos I believe and was professional install about a year ago the problem I am having is when im stuck in traffic my will begin to overheat but as soon as I get out of traffic and start drining again it drops back down to its normal temp. There arent any leaks and coolant level are right but I was told that it might be my manifold just wondering whats your opinion.

It sounds like the clutch fan is bad. When the temp under the hood gets hot enough, the fan should spin faster to cool the engine. If it doesn't, you lack air flow and the engine will heat up.

Let me know if this helps.
