1986 Chevy Caprice smoke coming from muffler

1986 Chevy Caprice 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 80k miles

I have a 1986 chevy cparice i just put a new rebuilt engine and a new carborator, however when I drive the care after 30 mph the car starts smoking from the muffler can't seem to figure out what it is? can someone help.

If the smoke is bluish in color -Check engine compression to determine its a valve/ring/cylinder wear problem
