Hello
Check the fusable link at the starter it is an extra wire that gets connected to the starter with the battery cable and runs to the alternator to allow it to charge the battery. The wire acts as a fuse and will burn in two inside the insulation.

Hello john,
I checked the cable u said to and that is not the problem. I just put it in today. When I use my signals my hazard lights and all four signals turn on. Any other ideas? Oh yeah my stearing colume is not the original one.
Thanks, Jr.

Hello again
well it sounds like you have a short somewhere, to bypass all this you can run a wire from the battery terminal on the back of the alternator to the possitive battery cable at the battery this should take care of the no charge problem.

then the alternator should be charging the battery, check to see if there is battery voltage at that wire also check to see that there is voltage at the 2 wire plug with the key on.
