I have an 82 Caprice. The speedo and cruise control had stopped working a few years ago, so I had brought it to the dealer for repair. The mechanic said the cruise control transducer was bad, and they didn't make that part anymore. He put on a new speedo cable, bypassing the cruise control (I don't know if he removed the old transducer -- I don't even know what a transducer looks like.) But I'm tired of not having a working cruise control, so I'd like to get it fixed. Does anyone know where I could buy a cruise control transducer, either new or remanufactured, for this particular year, make, and model?

NICE LOOKING CAR...

most auto part stores sell rebuilt ones.

but remember you are going to have to get both the cables too, unless the shop left them in place.

the transducer is normally mounted on the divers fender.

you may have to pay the extra money for a core charge if you dont have the old one to give back.

probably cost around $150
and dont forget the cables.

good luck
