I replaced the points and set the dwell to 30 degrees like the sticker under the hood says. now im getting very weak and intermittent spark to the plugs. the car ran when i started just idled rough in gear. im stumped.

Make sure you are reading dwell meter for eight cylinder cause sounds like dwell is low. You can set with feeler gague .017-.019
