Electrical problem
1969 Chevy Caprice V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I replaced my starter on my car because it went out. after putting the new one in it seemed to be running fine. The third time i started it after replacing it the starter started to make noise and the car wouldn't shut off right away. It finally came to a stop. i was wondering what the problem would be? should I just get another starter and try again?

Either the starter has a bad solenoid or you have a bad ignition switch
