My 95 Z28 w/ 195,000 mi. on it has been sluggish and when I step on it (really step on (passing gear high speed) I heard some knocks and let off right away, tried again same thing happened, this is the only time I have heard this, never tried again, normal driving seams to run fine. Proir to this I had a turnup in Jan 07 - Spark plugs fuel filter PVC value - replace HO2 sensor on left bank, flushed induction system. I'm original owner and have kept the car well remaintained. doesn't use oil and no leaks anywhere, Knock sensor never replaced as well as the convertor. I would like to sell the car but am concerned about these issues

Could just be a little carbon build up if it is pinging.Hard to say..at that mileage, have you ever done a fuel pump? Lean condition at WOT can cause pinging. A manual fuel pressure gauge and a fun road test will help eliminate the fuel pressure.

Don't how to reply to your answer, so try it this way. Never replaced fuel pump and ping is more of a knock at WOT. Does fuel pump cause the car being sluggish? Would the knock sensor cause any of these issues?

Knock sensor controls pinging, not internal engine noises.Knock sensor and fuel pump can both cause a car to be sluggish. Might want to have a tech go for a ride with you. Noises are the hardest thing to diagnose online
