When i shift down from 4th to 3rd to 2nd and to 1st my it makes this wierd grinding sound. Everything is fine when im shift up even when shifting down from 6th to 5th or 5th to 4th. i topped off my clutch fluid but problem remained. i can even feel the grinding in the shifter. the grinding usually occurs when im shifting down at high revs. Does this mean my clutch need to be replaced?

Unlikely that the clutch will make noise like that..... if it does it in every gear it may be how the trans sounds when using it as a brake to slow down the car. Could also be the rear end doing that. Might have to have a pro take it for a spin to get an opinion, these are hard to diagnose without being in the car
