2002 Chevy Camaro Engine Stall

Hey guys i have an 02 camaro with flowmaster exhaust, the 02 sensors have simulators in them. I understand why the engine light is on but, when i drive it in the rain the motor stalls and tries to die. Im not sure if the sensors are the problem or if maybe another sensor underneath is getting wet and causing the motor to stall. the car runs fine during dry weather. help plz.[img:f2957cedf9]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/241410_camaro_1.jpg[/img:f2957cedf9]

you should get the car scanned for codes.those cars come with the distributer behind the water pump and they are known to be problematic specially when it gets wet.gm messed up there.the part cost around 400 to 600 bucks but get it checked first and check if your water pump is not leaking water or that will do it to mess up the distributer ,ofcourse if it rains and gets too wet also when goin over water puddles.also can be a bad ignition control module.you can use a used from a junk yard to to save lots of money.94 to 96 caprice car or wagon .buicks 94 to 96 all with 5.7 works.dont have to be camaro.or ebay.good luck

I am almost positive the 2002 Camaro was equipped with a threw intake distributor on the back of the block not the opti spark distributor behind the water pump.

If I was in your situation I would first swap out those simulators for real o2 sensors. The problem with those simulators is they don't actually give the computer real feed back which is necessary for proper operation. O2 sensors can raise cause all sorts of issues, plus they housings on those simulators aren't the best so it is more than possible water is getting inside of them.
