2002 Chevy Camaro catalyic converter, 02 sensors, over heat

does vehicle drive just fine? whens last time you had a tune up. plugs, wires, air filter?

I replaced the catalyic converter last year because my 2002 camaro service engine soon light came on. the code was 0420. When that did not work i replaced all three 02 sensors. The service engine soon light came on at about 100 miles. Now my car is overheating when it is idiling with or without the a/c on. Of course it is much faster to overheat with the a/c on. I would like to know some tips on what to do to fix these problems because my car will not pass inspection with the service engine soon light on.[/quote:e4da4fd901] I have never replaced the wires or spark plugs, but always changed the oil reguraley. The air filter is a k/n so I just recharge it when need be.

would be checking the plugs and wires to make sure that the vehicles spark plugs are properly igniting the fuel if not it can throw all kinds of codes.

Try replacing the coils if the plugs/wires don't work.
Just replaced them on my '02 V6 Camaro after the cat converter went bad, plugged up the exhaust, and made the heat under the hood much worse. You won't get a trouble code for bad coils, but you might get a misfire code. Make sure that the rest of your exhaust isn't plugged up. The coils are cheap on ebay, about $65.
