when i accelerate air blowing thru front vent goes away and comes out in defrost area and floor. Figure there must be a vaccum hose loose or broke somewhere. any idea where to look first,second etc..

Chances are it is under the dash. Start there and then follow the supply line back to the engine. Not a fun job. It could also be a controler. Note, with the engne running, sometimes you will hear a hissing sound from a leak.
