2000 Chevy Camaro Car seems to hesitate while trying to inc

My SES light is on and i noticed about 2 weeks ago that my car seems to hesitate while shifting into 3rd gear to go faster. It shakes and jerks hesitating to go. It drives alright in 1st and 2nd gear, i don't know whats going on, i am also not very car savy. Could it be the spark plugs and wires? I just hope it's an easy fix considering i'm still paying the damn thing off. What could it be? i'm desperate for answers. Thanx!

Chances are the engine is missing. When the trans shifts to 3rd, the RPM's drop and there is more of a load on the engine.

What I need you to do is take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. It will help me identify where the problem is coming from. Also, most stores won't charge you for the scan.

Let me know what you find.
