2000 Camaro Convertable & A/C question

My nice convertable top needs help. The rear window fell in (apparantly, this is a common thing for convertables with a glued-in rear window), and I was wondering if anyone knows how difficult a repair it is to replace it. I can get the rear window panel and have an upholsterer availible to help, but is it something that should be better left to a trim shop? Also, when the a/c comes on, you can hear the compressor clattering and it doesn't cool. Investigation showed that the clutch is bad. Does this sound right, and how much of a pain in the neck is it to change the clutch without replacing the compressor? I'm an HVAC tech, so the actual system charging is not a problem. Thanks!

Don't know about the top....But some compressor have only 1 8 mm bolt holding the plate, and under that, a snap ring holding the pulley, the noise can be a bad bearing that's pressed into the pulley.

You got a junkyard? Will cost about 50.00 for the whole compressor.
