Thats your low coolant/overheating warning light. Wait til the car cools down for a few hours and remove the radiator cap. Then check to see if the coolant is empty. If the coolant is full, you might have a faulty low coolant sensor or coolant sending unit. Reply back if the coolant level is ok and I'll tell you how to check the sending unit.
