Hey guys, I took my car into pepboys the other day to get an engine diagnostic because my car is over heating and oil pressure is dropping. They said that I have two blown head gaskets and that I need a new water pump, thermostat, and respective fluid changes as well. The total for all that to be done came to $3200-3500. My question is if the quote seems reasonable and if its worth doing on an engine that has 127000 miles as they were unable to tell if there were problems with the block. Would it be better to purchase a new engine and if so wouldnt I be looking at paying around that price anyways?

you would have to check around to see what new or rebuilt engine goes for in your area...you might get a rebuild for a few dollars more....
