I took my 99 Camaro to a Chevy dealer and they told me it would cost $765 to fix my broken gas gauge. They told me the fuel sensor was bad. Is this price reasonable?

When they say fuel sensor, are they refering to the float in the fuel tank? If so, that is about right for a factory part and dealer labor. However, you could mostlikely do it yourself for around 200.
