I have a 1999 camaro and when it is in park or ideling while turned on it makes a ratling noise and i thought it was my exhaust so i got new flowmasters put on it and the noise still persisted and my dad tells me the rattling noise is coming from the catalyic converter. if so how can i fix it?

Technically you cannot fix a catalytic converter.

sounds to me that you may have a loose heat sheild or a exhaust hanger mount somewhere, check those first.

i have a camaro that was doin the same rattling noise .my catalic converter had broken pieces inside and some of it was getting inside the exit side of the pipe and i was losing power so i just got a new one installed and it runs fine now.but yes first make sure u check hangers or heat shield .but mostlikely is gonna be the cat.make sure theyt check that it doesnt have any loose pieces in the exit side of pipe .
