Check the oil pressure switch. It only cost about 10 bucks and if it is going bad this could be the problem. Also when you slow down or stop the engine rpms are lower and thus your oil pressure. If its good while driving then your ok. But low oil pressure while at high rpm is bad. The oil pump could be weak or even the oil filter could be clogged. you get the check gauges light due to the pressure gauge going to low.Hope this helps

d5nuke I thank you!!! I live in a remote area so to just take my car to a shop is not that easy! Im an hour and a half away from a shop so I really thank you for your advice!!since oil pressure is normal at high speed or any speed a switch sounds likely! I only seem to have the problem on start up and sometimes when I come to a stop sign or a low idol my rpms are 850 - 900 pretty high idol, but maybe a 10 dollar switch could be the problem so I will check that before the shop tells me it is a $ 700 oil pump!!! thanks again !!! you have gave me goood advice !!! jayme
